1. School Walkthrough

A walk through your school with an administrator to identify problem areas and possible solutions. [We are trained by and connected to National Allergy Supply. If you are having trouble with mold or other environmental problems, we are able to offer you additional assistance.]

2. Sit Down Discussion

A sit down discussion with administration to identify what policies are in place, what initiatives you are already carrying out, and how we can be of service. Together, we will come up with a plan of action that is right for your school whether it involves a more comprehensive recycling program, a Healthy Kids Day, A No Waste Day, etc...

2. Faculty Presentation

A presentation to the faculty about what can be done immediately to improve the classroom/school environment.

2. PTO/PTA/PTSO Presentation

A presentation to the PTO/PTA/PTSO about what can be done in the classroom and at home to further support the efforts of the school.

2. Fundraiser Kick-Off Presentation

A kickoff presentation to students about fundraising activities, scholarships, etc... and the benefits to a "greener" school/lifestyle.

2. Student Presentation & Assembly

A student presentation/assembly [large or small group] can be added.
[THERE IS A SMALL FEE FOR THIS OPTION.] -- We will be able to talk at greater lengths about choices, the dangers of alcohol/tobacco/drugs/chemicals, green living, etc...]

2. Student Presentation & Laser Show

A student presentation & 20 minute Laser Show around Environmental Themes/Earth Day. There is a $500 fee for this option, but we can give you ideas on how to raise this money. This show is phenomenal! Students and staff will love this option!

8. Unique

CREATE YOUR OWN UNIQUE LEARNING EXPERIENCE. Tell us what you need, and we will do our best to help you reach your goals!
As educators, we are well aware of the fact that no two learners or schools will be exactly the same. greenschools works hard to create individualized presentations geared toward the unique needs of your school.

fundraising opportunities

greenschools asks that you make healthier, more environmentally responsible decisions when it comes to selecting a fundraiser for your school or program.

Money generated will also go towards offering a senior in each High School a scholarship (see information on the right).

We have a variety of cool and safe products for your students to sell. Some items include: t-shirts, sweatshirts, car magnets, recycled mugs made from corn plastic, The Believe Bracelet, and more...

A HEALTHY SCHOOL SHOULD NOT BE SELLING CANDY, LOLLIPOPS, OR COOKIE DOUGH! THERE ARE OTHER THINGS WE CAN DO TO RAISE MONEY!

Middle and High Schools will be encouraged to participate in two fund raising activities. Students will work with a "green team" to organize a dance, walk, or other event where healthy foods will be served and students will participate in direct selling.

*ADDITIONAL FUNDRAISER: WE HAVE A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR PARENTS/CAREGIVERS/COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO SHOP AT MELALEUCA AND EARN MONEY FOR YOUR SCHOOL YOU ALREADY SHOP FOR HOME CLEANING SUPPLIES, SKIN CARE, ETC... IF YOU SWITCH STORES, YOU CAN LIVE GREEN AND HELP YOUR SCHOOL AS WELL.

scholarships & essay contests

Preschool/Nursery School students will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of fun, hands-on, learning activities based around green concepts.

Elementary and Middle School students will be involved in age appropriate activities. They will play an active role in green decision making wherever possible. Students will also have the opportunity to enter an essay/poetry contest. The student who wins this contest will receive a public award, a greenschools t-shirt, and have his/her work published in a local and school newspaper.

High School students will have numerous opportunities to work with/learn about green education. They will apply learned concepts in their classrooms, and throughout the school. Students will also be encouraged to use green ideas when planning events in & for the school.

Seniors [in schools that work with our corporation] will have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship. We will use a portion of the money raised from our fundraising efforts to make this a generous award. Students interested will write an essay discussing his/her outstanding contributions to a "greener society", or how your life has changed by "going green."
