National Green Schools Society honors and develops bright, civic-minded, environmentally literate citizens in schools and communities. Students in grades 5-8 and 9-12 develop their passion for preserving the environment, while improving schools and communities through environmental service, leadership, and activism.
This year, NGSS graduated students from public, private, charter schools, and home schools from across the nation and we couldn’t be more proud of their accomplishments and service!
The Bronx is kicking off a National Campaign from Scott’s Miracle Gro – the organic line only – called GROW SOMETHING GREATER. Scott’s Miracle Gro will be supporting schools and non-for-profits across America.
Additional highlights include: American Federation of Teachers, United Federation of Teachers, Representatives from the Mayor and Chancellor’s Office, USGBC, Green Schools, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. and of course Stephen Ritz and Green Bronx Machine!
Green Schools will be delivering a Key Note Address at this event and can’t wait to see our students end of year environmental education presentations!
